This was pretty spirited by these two teams in the first period. Part of the reason is the Capitals are trying to get a playoff spot and they need to win as much as possible to get in. Sidney Crosby gets goals late in the second and third periods to help the Penguins win. Alexander Ovechkin gets two assists on both of the Capitals goals.

One of the reasons why Alexander is a little more popular than Sidney right now are twofold. Sidney has been out for over a month with a high ankle sprain and has just recently returned. Alexander also scores goal which people tend to like better as well than boring assists. But both are part of goals right?

In Summary:

Sidney Crosby had two goals.
Alexander Ovechkin had two assists.

So I guess Sidney is the better player because he scored two goals right?
